Support the Thanksgiving Food Drive

Bluebird Property Management is organizing a food a food drive to help families in need currently residing at Hannah House a local shelter for women & children. Join us in making a difference this Thanksgiving.

Food Donations:
Canned Vegetables, Canned Meats & Ham, Bisquick, Corn Meal
Flour, Sugar, Brown Sugar, Rice, Dried Beans, Canned Gravy, Broth, Canned Milk, Yam, Fruit Cocktails, Canned Fruit, Stuffing Mix, Instant Mashed Potatoes, Jello, Pudding, Marshmallows, Salt, Pepper, Canned Pie Filling, etc.

Items may be placed in the designated boxes located near the entrance door inside of our office located at 1817 Pickens St, Columbia, SC 29201.

The last day to drop off items will be Wednesday, November 14th .

Negligence: The Verdict

We like to share past cases and get your opinion on what the verdict should be. Today’s post is the verdict regarding the Negligence of the Landlord Case posted earlier this week.

The result: The couple sued the owner for injuries sustained in the fall. The couple requested a judgment without trial arguing the owner was negligent per se, meaning that the owner was negligent as a matter of law. The court declined the request. After the trial the court ruled that both parties were negligent. The jury concluded that the owners actions were not the direct cause of the fall, so the court dismissed the action. Subsequent appeals ultimately ended in a upheld decision.
